First Thanksgiving and Final Pumpkins

Cora enjoyed her first Thanksgiving and we brought along butternut squash for her to enjoy for her solid food snack/meal. Maybe next year her plate will be filled with all the traditional Thanksgiving menu food items and goodies. She probably would have eaten what was on the menu and what mommy and daddy enjoyed, but I just wasn't ready to take that big step yet. We are still introducing new solid foods and next on the menu will be peas and sweet potato. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for sure! You spend time with your loved ones and for us that it includes some we see often and some we only see once or twice a year. There is no pressure of the perfect present or perfect gift wrapping job, just quality time together. Ann hosts a great day and has carried on our family tradition perfectly.

As we prepare to transition from fall to winter and Thanksgiving to Christmas, I am not sure how much longer our pumpkins will be around. Now that Cora is sitting up really well on her own, with not to many "timber" falls, we got possibly the last picture with our pumpkins from this fall. Mimi bought the big one for Cora and the three of us (Daddy, Mommy and Mimi) picked the smaller one out for Cora at a local pumpkin patch.

Cora is still our sweet girl! She is happy, a good eater and excellent sleeper. We are working on waving hi and possibly crawling being her next two big developmental accomplishments. Tomorrow she turns seven months and I feel like it all happened in a blink of an eye.
